Born in South Korea, I was exposed to international arena from a young age. I spent my childhood in several countries, including Libya, Korea, and Singapore. Having completed my education in Singapore, I embarked on an architectural career both there and in Korea, but also had exposure to different fields, including: conference management, translation, teaching and research analysis. My passion for traveling and appreciating different cultures led me to the United Nations via the National Competitive Examination. Through my short career thus far in peacekeeping operations, I have a renewed conviction for working towards the promotion of global peace and security. The job poses challenges, but also offers immense satisfaction and pride. One daily challenge is balancing work priorities and family issues, as I am a working mother with two young children.
