 I have over 20 years International Transport and logistics experience in both the public and private sectors, performing duties as Chief Transport Officer, General Officers staff logistician, and Civilian Industry logistic manager. I began my career in the United States Army and the Department of Defense on the government sector side, and worked for Wal-Mart Logistics, AmeriServ, WebVan, and Kraft Foods in the private sector. I recently joined Headquarters (HQ) staff as a Transport Officer after working for the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) Mission in Haiti. I have a master degree in Public Administration and I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership Studies.

 I have 17 years of progressive and varied inter-agency experience with UN Headquarters and in five field operations in administration, human resources, and financial, budgetary, and programme management. Since 1990, I have worked with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and, within the UN Secretariat, in the Departments of Human Resources Management (OHRM) and Peacekeeping Operations, based in the West Bank, Austria, Croatia, Switzerland, Bosnia, USA/New York, East Timor and Sierra Leone. As part of my work I have also visited Kosovo, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Liberia.

Prior assignments include; Chief Administrative Officer of the UN's Integrated Office in Sierra Leone (UNIOSIL); and, concurrently, the Officer-in-Charge of Administration of the UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL); Chief Administrative Services at UNAMSIL; Chief of Human Resource Planning and Development Section and Chief of Recruitment Section of DPKO at UN Headquarters.

 I am a French speaking American lawyer with a Juris Doctorate and a master’s degree in public administration. My first United Nations work was as a human rights officer in Haiti (MICIVIH) in 1993. Thereafter, I served in 1994 in South Africa (UNOMSA) as an Electoral Officer and in Rwanda (UNAMIR) in the aftermath of the genocide as a human rights officer. From 1996-1999, I left the UN to prosecute child abuse on behalf of New York City and pursue a Master’s degree. From 1999-2004, I served as a Legal Officer in the Office of Legal Affairs at UN Headquarters. Since 2004, I have worked for the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at UN Headquarters as a Human Resource Legal Policy Officer, and most recently as a Legal Policy Officer advising the Director of the Logistics Support Division.
